Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information? -T.S. Eliot, The Rock.
Foremost is an antidote to the high-volume, low-value torrent of information that most of our society has
become hopelessly lost in. We built this service in order to restore simplicity and long-term impact
to the content we personally consume every day.
Here’s how it works: rather than trying to remember to navigate back through notes or journals, you simply text the segments that had the most meaning to you into your Foremost library. Then, a randomly chosen entry is texted or emailed to you each day. Here are some samples from my personal library:
It is because people will only read what is the newest instead of what is the best of all ages, that writers remain in the narrow circle of prevailing ideas, and that the age sinks deeper and deeper in its own mire. -Arthur Schopenhauer, On Reading and Books
Let a man radically alter his thoughts, and he will be astonished at the rapid transformation it will effect in the material conditions of his life. Men imagine that thought can be kept secret, but it cannot; it rapidly crystallizes into habit, and habit solidifies into circumstance. -James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
We also keep personal epiphanies, goals, and ideas in our personal libraries. Foremost lets you mentor
yourself, saving the most important things when the moment strikes and keeping you oriented each day
towards those things that most others have lost in the chaos.
Sign up for Foremost to receive a text from our number (no apps to worry about) and you can start sending and receiving texts from the person you’re working to become.
